History:
Companion Pictures was formed from the shared passion and experience of a creative group of film students at Fairfield University. During their years in the program, they developed and worked on a variety of projects together--including a feature-length Western shot on location in South Dakota. Other projects created were a Revolutionary War short produced in Vermont, a Sci-Fi action/adventure web series, a musical comedy short, a multigenerational family drama and a psychological mystery short. These projects have won numerous national and regional awards. From the beginning, their productions were characterized by innovative storytelling, ambitious production goals, and a relentless work ethic. A deep respect and appreciation for one another’s gifts and perspectives, combined with a desire to create significant stories of the human experience together, brought about the idea of a new production company.
